Invasc Announces Financing and Board Changes

ATLANTA, Georgia – July 9, 2010 – InVasc Therapeutics, Inc. today has had a initial closing of $3,150,000 in its first institutional financing. The investment was led by Trois I Investments Industriels Internationaux S.A., headquartered in Luxembourg. “We welcome Trois I and our other investors”, stated William Johnston, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of InVasc. “The funds raised will primarily be used to advance a Phase II trial for INV-144. The members of our new board will include Daniele Cardoso of Trois I, Larry Dillaha, the former EVP and Chief Medical Officer of Sciele Pharma, Bill Schaeffer, Chief Operating Officer of InVasc and me.”  



InVasc Therapeutics,Inc Awarded Two Phase 1 SBIR Grants

ATLANTA, Georgia – May 19, 2010 – InVasc Therapeutics, Inc. today announced that it has been awarded two Small Business Innovations Research (SBIR) Phase 1 grants by the National Institutes of Health. One grant is to continue research and development of small molecule drugs for the prevention and treatment of hypertension and stroke based on derivatives of alpha lipoic acid. The second grant is to advance the discovery and development of inhibitors of myeloperoxidase for use in treating or preventing acute vascular or inflammatory events. The aggregate funding from these two Phase 1 grants is nearly $400,000.  



Georgia Governor Issues Commendation Recognizing

ATLANTA, Georgia – January 19, 2010 – InVasc Therapeutics, Inc. today announced that in a ceremony held at the Georgia State Capital, Governor Sonny Perdue, presented a Commendation to Dr. Bobby V. Khan, a cardiologist, founder and member of the Board of Directors of InVasc. The Commendation states: “WHEREAS: Dr. Khan is a great asset for our state and has worked tirelessly in his duties as a physician, researcher and educator. The citizens of Georgia are thankful for his ongoing contributions to the health and betterment of our state; now THEREFORE: I, Sonny Perdue, Governor of the state of Georgia, do hereby commend Bobby V. Khan.”  



InVasc Therapeutics to Present at Biotech Showcase 2010 and Announces Domain Name Change
